Find your place. Shape your future.

At Kent, our people are the heart of everything we do. The service our customers receive is a direct reflection of how well we support the teams who show up every day — which is why we invest so much into creating a workplace where people can thrive. Our values guide how we work together: we are respectful, so you can expect honesty, fairness and a workplace built on trust; we look after each other, so no one is left without support when it matters; we do the right thing, which means integrity in every decision and a commitment to keeping our people safe; and we think differently, encouraging fresh ideas, better ways of doing things and room for you to grow.

When you join Kent, you’ll see these values in the way leaders communicate, how teams collaborate and the genuine care shown across the business. In return, we look for people who bring the same attitude — respect, courage, curiosity and a willingness to support others. It’s this shared commitment that shapes our culture and helps our people — and our customers — succeed.

Working at Kent is about building a career, not just punching a clock. We want everyone who joins us to feel supported, valued, and able to grow. That’s why we offer a full suite of benefits, from financial and wellbeing support to flexibility, discounts, and a culture of recognition.

We want Kent to be a place where people feel supported in work and in life. Our benefits draw on leading tools and wellbeing support to ensure we have a wide range of choices for our staff. Here are the kinds of perks Kent offers (or aims to offer) to make your work and life easier:

  • Earned-wage access: Need to access part of your pay before payday? We’ve got that covered. Great for budgeting, unexpected bills, or smoothing out cash flow.
  • Discounts, cashback & cost-of-living savings: Employees can access negotiated discounts across essentials — such as health insurance, utilities, fuel, and other everyday costs. Helps stretch the dollar further.
  • Private health insurance, utilities & novated leasing: Through corporate partnerships and negotiated employee-discount schemes, we aim to make these real, practical savings available to you.
  • Digital gifting, online perks & “shoutouts” culture: Recognise and reward good work with digital vouchers or internal shoutouts — because sometimes a simple “thanks” matters most. This is how Kent supports team recognition.
  • Flexible leave options: Birthday leave, purchased leave, or flexible leave arrangements, we understand life isn’t 9-5, and we want to help you balance work and personal commitments.
  • Wellbeing & mental-health support: We offer a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) called Kent CARE. It’s free, confidential counselling and support for you and your family. Whether you’re struggling with stress, relationship issues, or life changes, help is there.
  • Support for families and dependents: Via Kent CARE, support isn’t limited to just employees, immediate family members can access services too.

These perks reflect the kind of employer we strive to be: one that cares about your work and your life outside work.

We want people at Kent to build long-term careers. That’s why we combine perks with:

  • Transparent pay and benefits reporting — just as tools like Employment Hero let employees see their full compensation package, at Kent you’ll know exactly what you earn, what you get in perks, and how your benefits stack up.
  • Ongoing development and learning support — for both blue-collar and white-collar team members. Whether you’re on the tools or in the office, we back your growth.
  • Award winning training — our online training platform has been getting noticed for all the right reasons and we’re proud to offer this as part of our employee experience.
  • Recognition & reward programs — including shoutouts, digital perks, and ways to highlight great performance or a job well done.
  • Openness to internal promotion and succession planning — many of our next-level managers and branch leads started in entry-level operational roles.

With wellbeing in mind, we partner with an amazing EAP to give every Kent employee (and their immediate family) access to:

  • Confidential counselling and mental-health support.

  • Coaching, wellness resources, and support for life challenges — financial stress, family issues, mental-health concerns, work pressures, or major life events.

  • Support for managers and team-leads too — we recognise leadership can be stressful, and we offer tools to help.

  • Training for managers to assist in recognising signs and triggers to help our people earlier and support them when it counts.

  • At Kent, we take wellbeing seriously, because we know people do their best work when they feel supported.

Yes — where it makes sense for the role. We aim to strike a balance that supports our people while still meeting the needs of the job and the business. We’re strong advocates of hybrid working, and almost half our workforce already enjoy a mix of working from home and the office. Flexibility isn’t guaranteed for every position, but when the role allows for it, we’re all for it.

Kent has a down-to-earth, supportive culture built around our values — we are respectful, we do the right thing, we think differently and we look after each other. You’ll see it in the way people pitch in, share ideas and back their teammates. It’s a place where hard work is noticed, fresh thinking is encouraged and everyone plays a part in creating a workplace where people can thrive.

The interview process at Kent is generally relaxed and conversational across the board, no matter what type of job you are applying for. While some senior level positions will require preparation ahead of the interview, most jobs involve you and the manager working out if either of you is the right fit. Interviewing is a two way street!

Keep in mind that while qualifications, presentations, and an impressive employment history certainly ‘wow’ us – it’s not what matters most. We also care about the person behind the role, the value you can bring, and the skills you can transfer across. We want to hear your story.

We only ask for industry experience when a role genuinely needs it, like operating a forklift. For most positions, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If you bring a proactive attitude, transferable skills, a willingness to learn and can complete the required checks or training, you’re encouraged to apply. Fresh perspectives help us grow, and we’re always open to people who want to build

Along with the standard leave entitlements, we offer a few extra perks to help people balance work and life. Everyone gets birthday leave to enjoy their day off, and eligible employees can take purchased leave if they want extra time during the year. Where the role allows, we also look for practical ways to support personal commitments and flexibility.

No — we don’t set age limits. Many careers at Kent started with school-aged team members working holiday or casual shifts, and we’re proud to have people who’ve stayed with us for decades. What matters most is whether someone can safely meet the physical or practical requirements of the role. If you’re capable, willing to learn and ready to contribute, we’re open to your application regardless of age.
